oh! irony!
I was having a conversation with one of my many bosses about bringing some CDs in to listen to in the warehouse.
Him: Well what would you call decent music?
Me: Will Smith, REM, Led Zeppelin... anything, really.
Him: What about Metallica?
Me: Nah, the only Metallica I've got are mp3s.
He gave me what can only be decribed as a very nasty look, and locked himself in the cash office.
Speaking of which, one of Jim's friends put the following to me earlier today:
"Stairway to Heaven or Freebird?"
Not having even HEARD any Skynyrd yet (it's on my 'to-download' list) I automatically went for Stairway to Heaven, mainly because something doesn't achieve cult status for nothing, and the fact that people who stand at the bar at a minor gig and shout 'FREEBIRD!' or 'PLAY SOME SKYNYRD, MAN!' are usually complee morons.
Jim looked crestfallen. Apparently two other people had said Led Zeppelin and no-one for Skynyrd. Although it must be awesome for Jim to prefer it over Stairway, I guess...
...or he's one of those morons I talked about.
