So I'm going home on Saturday, and I'll be out in Macc. Anyone who wants to find me, that's where I'll be.
Christmas this year is going to kick last year's Christmas's
ass. I'm not even kidding. I haven't seen my family properly for ages, and I'm just waiting to chill with everybody who I haven't see for three months. I promise I'll get round all of you.
Auntie Helen's also coming up to stay with us, like last year. Everything's always ten times funnier with her cracking sly jokes all the time, and she has the power to make my dad smile, a rare thing in our household unless we're watching Billy Connolly or Richard Pryor. And on top of that, we get to spend Christmas with two of the cutest West Highland White terriers in the world. If it snows, I have to take a picture - they just end up being two bundle of snow rolling about.
On the downside, Grandma broke her wrist the other day. She struggles getting out of her armchair, and without the use of both hands it's been impossible without help. However, due to this, there's been an unexpected upside - she's being looked after in a nursing home. Now, you say, that's awful, that's not an upside! And that was my response, at first. But in all actuality, it means that she's never short of company, and I know for a fact that she was getting very lonely at home, despite living just down the road, without anyone to talk to from day to day. She's going to be with us over Christmas too, and we'll all be there together, so even if she's not completely healed by then, she'll be there.
Lily has also been readmitted into hospital after picking up the same bug she had in a different way, as I understand it. This was a few days ago, though, so it's quite possible she's out by now.
So, all in all, a bit of an unusual Christmas. But none the less excellent.
Ho ho ho, all gangsta rapper like, to all of you.
